Video Art with a Story

A voice in a living woman

An interdisciplinary show that combines sound, text and video that deals with the mythical connection between a living woman. The essence of the woman-animal connection is expressed in the show through a vocal utterance that expresses the wide and varied range that suggests the similar layers between the animal and the woman. Texts written by the participants describe metaphorical situations embodied in living woman and related to tenderness, dread, oppression, slackness, and flying. The video presents fragments of animal images and images of women with textures of wrinkles, mucous, furry sensations of disgust and disgust at the beauty and ugliness, the delicacy of the touch and the heartbeat as the source of life and animals.

Over the past two years I have created the video art woman-plantation held in a peach orchard near my place of residence, a clear-cut group. For this plantation, I have found myself going countless times, examining its scents, flavors, light reflections and colors. In my wandering, I would imagine the French Impressionist counter, returning time and time again to the same space ("haystacks," "Saint-Lazar train station," "lily of the water") and drawing it at a different time into the background of changing light reflections and weather changes. I was intrigued by the idea of examining the constant in the dynamic-dynamic light over static. I chose to document the plantation about its changing moments and seasons, to which I invited women to experience and participate in world-related rituals. In the spring and summer, I met with the Bhutto dancer, Shlomit Yaron, who danced alongside the ripe fruit and the peach flowers spontaneously, which responds to environmental stimuli. In the winter, I invited my mother, who celebrated the beginning of her eighth decade, to the old, farewell ceremony. In the fall, I invited my friends who grew up with me from infancy to say goodbye to our fertility, our homes through the red color and the falling leaf. The meetings at the plantation indicate the connection between a woman and herself, a woman and her other and her season and between her and her mother, through movement, rhythm, touch, textures and color. The land symbolizes the woman's periodicity on her fertility, Camilla, Lobova - her stages and her imagery. The act of art embodied in nature holds in its absence the absence of abundance, the pity of the villain, the yearning to create and the horror of the loss of the work.

Wild fabrics

Like a Phoenix - Orna Orian
On the floor of the female consciousness, a meeting of torn pieces of cloth occurs, overflowing with memories related to small moments that were and are no longer.
The Shabbat dress of the four-year-old girl, the circumcision ceremony of the baby, a meeting between foreign women who sing, and more. This area of consciousness is a demilitarized zone into which the real has no entry, but only the imagined, which transforms within it what was and is over.

Pieces of memories from the artist's life were sewn into a fabric consisting of a piece of fabric from her four-year-old daughter's Shabbat dress, a tear from a handkerchief she received for the circumcision of her baby born in Bolivia, a piece of an embroidered shirt her grandmother gave her, and more.
The fabric that hangs in the air, moves in water, decomposes in fire, is buried in the ground, and repeats itself, God forbid, represents the metamorphoses that occur in the female consciousness, in which memories connected to small moments that were and are no longer accepted take on different spaces.
They float and rise as if swimming in water, disappear as if burned with their ashes remaining, spread out and open to the air of the world, and seemingly disappear as if buried in the ground.
